Job TitleDuties include, but are not limited to:Operate production switchers, camera control units, audio board and robotic camera systems in a live studio environmentOperate IP based software interfaces for a live studio environmentRoute audio/video signal through software-based routing platformsReview and maintain daily operational logs, resolve technical issues, and implement procedures as neededOversee quality control of recordings and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established proceduresProvide guidance and troubleshooting support to staff as neededUtilize Adobe Creative Suite applications to support production and post-production needsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to production staffMaintain extensive technical, theoretical and practical knowledge in their areas of specializationConduct and oversee routine equipment inspections and configuration checks to ensure production quality and uniformityCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify the needs of production, provide recommendations and develop executable plansCoordinate resource allocation and equipment repairs with the Engineering and Resource Management DepartmentsTroubleshoot and implement solutions to address challenges presented by complex productions or equipment malfunctionsOversee, inventory and maintain all equipment, software and spaces associated with the lottery productionsEstablish and document processes and standards for their areas of specializationMaintain daily logs and address any discrepancies found in the logsUnderstand tasks assigned to Multimedia Production Technicians and be able to perform those tasks as neededInstruct and mentor Multimedia Production Technicians on the proper use of equipment and software as well as basic and advanced production practices, skills and techniquesMentor staff on lottery operations and ensure that procedures are followedEnsure state and federal rules and regulations are followed during productionsContinually assess the work of the production department to ensure consistent quality and identify areas of additional training or future improvementsNote:A variable schedule, including standby and overtime, is required to support operations. Our team operates 365 days a year, holidays included.Minimum QualificationsNOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES. IF ANY OF THIS EXPERIENCE IS LESS THAN FULL TIME YOU MUST INDICATE THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK.Six years of experience* in one or more of the following assignment areas with a national network, local network television affiliate, cable news, commercial media production facility, marketing communications agency or related operation. College study in a related field may be substituted for up to four years of experience with 30 credit hours equaling one year of experience.Preferred Qualifications:Incumbents are responsible for a full range of production operations and creative service projects undertaken by DMSC and must specialize in at least two of the following areas:Asset management (physical or digital)AudioCinematographyLightingLive event productionPost-production editingProduction planningStill photographyStudio operationsUnmanned aircraft systemsMust also:Demonstrate an advanced level of skill and competence in their areas of specialization.Maintain knowledge of studio integration and how to troubleshoot problems.Additional CommentsThe Office of General Services (OGS) is an equal opportunity employer, and we recognize that diversity in our workforce is critical to fulfilling our mission.
