Job Summary
As a Lead Business Partner - Store Operations, General Merchandise, Audit, and Enterprise Process Planning, you will drive operational improvements in stores, update processes, enhance operational efficiency, elevate the guest experience, and increase profitable sales. You will lead end-to-end initiatives to achieve Return on Investment (ROI) while efficiently utilizing Target resources. Your expertise in critical thinking, strategy, research, analysis, and communications will help understand and influence technology, process, and organizational change management aspects of Store Operations business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive operational improvement in stores by updating processes, improving operational efficiency, elevating the guest experience, and increasing profitable sales.
- Lead end-to-end initiatives to achieve the necessary Return on Investment (ROI) while efficiently utilizing Target resources.
- Utilize critical thinking, strategy, research, analysis, issue framing, benchmarking, and communications to understand and influence technology, process, and organizational change management aspects of Store Operations business opportunities.
- Use data, insights, and research to make Target-before-team strategies that are cohesive with enterprise needs.
- Maintain strong relationships with partners and peers to benchmark performance, identify emerging trends, best methods, tools, technologies, and influence innovation.
- Represent Store Operations in enterprise cross-pyramid initiatives, ensuring store impact is communicated and understood.
- Establish comprehensive project plans and hold partners accountable to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Maintain close contact with the field team to understand operational opportunities and solicit feedback.
- Pursue opportunities for continuous business development and innovation.
- Act as an advocate for stores and address escalated questions or concerns.
- Lead/Coordinate store visits to assess and identify ways to reduce store expense, rework, simplify processes, and solicit store feedback.
- Build understanding of the external landscape and identify trends in the industry that impact Store Operations and Target initiatives.
- Champion Target's purpose and beliefs across teams and while delivering upon business opportunities.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Four-year degree.
- Ability to build strategic vision and drive organizational change.
- Experience influencing key business partners, including senior leadership, without authority.
- Project and process management/ownership experience.
- Ability to operate independently in an ambiguous and rapidly changing work environment.
- Ability to challenge upward and challenge the status quo.
- Ability to resolve problems that are without clear precedent.
- Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to work in high-intensity situations with tight deadlines.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining cross-functional working relationships across the enterprise.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA.
- Previous stores experience.
- 6Sigma/LEAN certification.

Work Environment
This position may be considered for a Remote or Hybrid (known internally at Target as "Flex for Your Day") work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Remote work arrangement means the team member works full-time from home or an alternate location that's not a Target location, does not have a desk at a Target location, and may travel to HQ up to 4 times a year. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role may be performed either remote or onsite at a Target location depending upon what your role, team, and tasks require for that day.
