The Difference You'll Make
As a Lead, Advanced Analytics, Product, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting strategic business and product initiatives through detailed data analysis, experimentation, statistical modeling, and the development of reporting tools and metrics. Your expertise will inform product decisions across various topic areas, driving growth and improvement across the Guest and Host App.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Data Analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis and statistical modeling to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Experimentation and Causal Inference: Design, execute, and analyze experiments to measure feature impact and guide product iterations. Leverage causal methods when traditional randomized trials aren't available.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with partners in Product Marketing, Engineering, and Design to size opportunities, determine relevant success metrics, and craft measurement plans for key product improvement initiatives.
- Metrics and Reporting: Design and build metrics / dimensions to monitor product and business performance. Develop sophisticated reporting and analytical tools that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions.
- Stakeholder Management: Manage senior stakeholder relationships, ensuring clarity of communication and strategic alignment on analytics initiatives.
- Analytics and Data Science: Contribute towards advancing the Analytics and Data Science disciplines at Airbnb, including driving data best practices, building new data tools and data sets, and mentoring and developing others.
Your Expertise
We're looking for a highly skilled professional with:
- 6+ years of industry experience and a degree (Masters or PhD is a plus) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research).
- Prior experience in data science / product analytics working with large datasets pertaining to online marketplaces or B2C businesses, such as customer funnel analysis.
- Deep technical expertise in data analysis, experimentation, causal inference, and familiarity with LLMs.
- Robust business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate and influence across functions.
- An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact.
