Key Responsibilities:
- Follow and teach lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, adapting instruction to meet the needs of students with special needs
- Instruct based on subject and grade-specific curriculum, using a range of teaching strategies to engage students and promote learning
- Monitor and assess student achievements and outcomes, providing feedback and support to students and teachers
- Exercise classroom and behavior management skills, creating a safe and respectful learning environment for all students
- Share your specialized knowledge to coach staff and support special education students, contributing to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs)

Requirements:
- Active Teaching license with a special education generalist (5-21) and/or special education specialist (5-21) endorsement(s)
- Substitute Authorization (must have or be in the process of obtaining if license is expired)
- Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
- Completion of a Background Check for Scoot Education and the Colorado Department of Education
