As an AI Virtual Receptionist Developer at blithequark, you will be responsible for:- Designing and developing Receptia, a virtual receptionist capable of answering phone calls in real-time, powered by OpenAI (ChatGPT)
- Integrating OpenAI (ChatGPT) API for intelligent handling of incoming calls
- Implementing real-time speech recognition using Whisper, Deepgram, or equivalent technologies
- Developing natural text-to-speech functionality using ElevenLabs, Azure TTS, or equivalent technologies
- Implementing automatic detection of Québec French and Canadian English
- Creating a simple web interface to manage scripts, responses, and logs
- Implementing audio and text conversation logging
- Optionally integrating CRM systems, appointment scheduling, and automatic SMS/email sending
- Ensuring seamless integration with VoIP/SIP systems, such as Twilio, Asterisk, or equivalent
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:- Proven experience with OpenAI API integration
- Strong knowledge of VoIP/SIP and telephony integrations
- Expertise in advanced speech-to-text (STT) and text-to-speech (TTS) systems
- Low-latency real-time development experience
- Skilled in multilingual handling, particularly in Québec French and Canadian English
- Experience with Python, Node.js, React.js, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or equivalent technologies
