Job Description:
The Amazon Finance and Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the Finance and Accounting department, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies. This role will involve supervising various positions, coordinating account attachments and bid validation, and supporting the weekly contractual compliance process. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial trends, basic financial terminology, and concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, and net income.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review new account number requests and ensure accurate information
- Complete weekly bid validation audits and build queries using database tools
- Participate in meetings with Amazon and UPS teams to develop winning sales strategies
- Support Amazon Business Development with internal contractual compliance reporting
- Identify incorrect shipping charges and execute action plans to prevent future errors
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent in a relevant field
- Experience in advanced MS Excel and MS Access
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse (DWH) and Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Strong business and accounting knowledge, with an understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S.
