Job Summary

We are seeking a Dance Instructor to join our successful team. As a Dance Instructor, you will plan and lead dance classes, ensuring that people of all dance levels/school grade levels are able to participate. Your goal is to help dancers reach their fitness objectives and have fun while doing it The ideal candidate is a positive, engaging teacher with a passion for dance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a wide variety of classes to After school programs
• Develop classes that are age level challenging, while keeping students engaged and safe
• Encourage students to continue with their pursuit of dancing and help them make good decisions
• Promote programs, classes, and behavioral management
• Deliver exceptional quality dance classes

Dance Genres preferred

• Folklorico
• Hip-hop
• Salsa
• Azteca
• Cumbia
• Jazz

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required
• Current dancer or dance experience
• Knowledge of choreography, dance technique, and body mechanics is preferred
• First aid and CPR certified
• Positive, motivating, and effective interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Strong background in teaching various styles of dance: Latin, Hiphop, Jazz

Expected salary: $25 per hour
