Role Description We are seeking a mission driven public health professional to help strengthen and expand our national research collaborative by engaging mobile clinic leaders and researchers, supporting them to use Mobile Health Map (MHM)’s analytic tools, and improving the quality and completeness of data contributed to our national registry. In this role, the Impact & Engagement Associate will focus on training and educating mobile clinic leadership and research teams to measure, improve, and communicate their impact using MHM tools and data. The IEA will also represent MHM through presentations, trainings, and partnerships that advance evidence based mobile health care and inform policy and practice. Working under the supervision of the Assistant Director - MHM and collaborating closely with the broader Family Van/Mobile Health Map team, the successful candidate will be a process oriented, a strategic thinker, a detailed implementer who thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities. Key Responsibilities • National Outreach, Mobile Clinic Stewardship and Data Collection: • Proactively identify and engage mobile clinics across the country to join and actively use Mobile Health Map with the goal of increasing our national footprint and aggregate data collection to improve research into the greater mobile health landscape. • Build and maintain relationships with representatives from mobile clinics, community-based organizations, health systems, and other stakeholders. • Provide expert, friendly, and timely support to website users, helping them understand how to access and update MHM tools to measure and communicate their impact. • Serve as a frontline representative of MHM, exercising diplomacy, discretion, and excellent judgment in managing clinic specific issues. • Website, Data Integrity & Technical Support: • Assist the Program Manager of MHM to support the website management and user portal, assisting users experiencing issues with registration, passwords, data entry, and other technical problems. • Providing Technical Assistance in data gathering for clinics to support their efforts to upload data to the map creating their individual dashboards and contributing to the bigger picture on a national scale. • Capacity Building, Training & Technical Assistance: • Provide tailored, high-level technical assistance to mobile clinics and health systems on how to design evaluations, collect data, and use MHM tools to tell their impact story. • Support the team in delivering engaging trainings to build mobile clinic capacity to measure, improve, and communicate their impact. • Create user guides, toolkits, slide decks, and other resources that translate public health and evaluation concepts into accessible, practical materials for busy practitioners. • Support the team in ensuring tools and guidance reflect current public health recommendations and emerging best practices in mobile health care. • Research, Evaluation & Special Projects: • Collaborate with the MHM team on research and evaluation projects related to the mobile health sector. • Contribute to data collection and analysis. • As needed, prepare clear, concise reports and presentations. • Support sector-wide data and evaluation initiatives, including statewide or national collaborations focused on expanding mobile health access. • Presentations, Thought Leadership & External Representation: • Along with the team, represent MHM at conferences, workshops, national webinars, and meetings. • Develop abstracts, proposals, and presentations that highlight MHM’s tools, data, and impact. • Serve as spokesperson for MHM and The Family Van, articulating the value of mobile health in advancing health equity and access. • Assist with grant proposal development. • Contribute to overall program operations as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of The Family Van and MHM. • Mentor students and volunteers, providing guidance on evaluation, data collection, and public health program development. Qualifications • College degree in a related field of research study. • 3 or more years relevant professional experience in public health, health care delivery, program management, evaluation, or a related area (relevant course work may count towards experience). • Master of Public Health (MPH) or closely related graduate degree in a public health or health-related field preferred. • Demonstrated experience working with diverse communities and/or safety net, community-based, or mobile health programs. • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills; ability to engage and support partners across a wide range of organizational levels and geographic locations. • Experience with quantitative and qualitative data collection, basic data analysis, and interpreting and communicating data to non-technical audiences. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with public speaking and giving presentations (in-person and virtual). • Proven project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. • Familiarity with public health principles, health equity, and evaluation frameworks. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; comfort learning new web-based tools and platforms. • Experience working directly with mobile clinics, community health centers, or other community-based health programs. • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems, basic data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI), or web content management. • Experience coordinating with IT or technical teams and/or vendors to troubleshoot user issues and improve systems. • Prior involvement in grant writing, grant management, or reporting to funders. • Experience mentoring or supervising students, volunteers, or early-career staff.
