As Field Service Engineer, you will ensure the performance, safety, and compliance of advanced medical technologies across hospitals in Wallonia and Luxembourg. What you will do
In-depth troubleshooting of equipment and interconnected systems (mechanical, electronic, firmware/basic software)
Repair, reassembly, and adjustments including parts identification and calibration to spec/tolerances
Execute root cause analysis on recurring failures; propose and implement corrective actions
Produce complete service documentation (service reports, NCs, test certificates)
Confident with diagnostic instruments, oscilloscopes, calibration tools, and torque management
Solid understanding of QMS, CAPA, traceability, EHS/ISO requirements
Begins taking initiative to improve processes, products, quality, cost-efficiency/profitability, and safety/health conditions
Has a good understanding of procedures and functional concepts
Fully masters the repair procedures and product ranges within scope
Is versatile across multiple product families and contributes actively to the team’s activity
Performs standard work tasks in addition to field interventions
Able to identify anomalies and escalate them appropriately to the relevant contacts
What you will need
Required qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in field service engineering type of role
Fluency in French
Professional working proficiency in English
Basic technical knowledge of electronics and/or mechanical systems
Valid drive's license
Preferred qualifications
Proficiency in Dutch
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related technical field
Knowledge of medical device servicing and regulatory standards
Initial experience using service management or technical documentation systems
Additional Information
Territory: Wallonia and Luxembourg (ideal candidate based near Namur or Liège)
Field-based role with regular travel to customer sites
Hands-on, customer-facing position supporting healthcare facilities
Travel Percentage: 90%
