About Amazon Careers Remote and the Role
Our Remote office provides a state-of-the-art and comfortable workspace, and as a part-time team member, you will be an integral part of our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The NOC is the central command and control center for 'Transportation Execution' across the Amazon Supply Chain network, supporting multiple geographies like NA, India, and EU. As a Transportation Specialist, you will work closely with business and operations teams to solve customer escalations, analyze historic results, and initiate programs to drive growth and increasing complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems and demonstrate excellent project-management skills
- Work with business and operations teams to solve customer escalations, analyze historic results, and initiate programs
- Drive improvements to visibility tools, methods, and processes to increase the availability and granularity of actionable data to internal and external partners
- Show significant ownership on customer issues and proactively initiate SOPs and process changes as required
- Communicate effectively with internal customers, including CS, MM, LM, FC, Trans Program, and HR
- Develop and maintain exceptional written and verbal communication skills, creating compelling positioning/messaging strategies and presenting complex information clearly and concisely
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Utilize strong analytical, mediation, and problem-resolution skills to drive results
- Support a culture of ownership and learning, demonstrating leadership with a bias towards action
- Collaborate effectively in a management environment, with clear formal and informal communication with members of remote and local management teams
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, or statistics
- Experience with Excel, including data analysis and visualization
- Experience with SQL, including data querying and manipulation
