About the Role
As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you'll have the flexibility to choose your assignments and work on your own schedule. We're looking for passionate educators who can provide high-quality instruction and support to students across various grade levels and subjects. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day or long-term substitute teaching services in Bedminster, NJ schools
- Deliver instruction and support to students in accordance with the teacher's lesson plans
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Communicate with school staff and administrators to ensure a smooth teaching experience
- Participate in 1:1 check-ins with your Scoot consultant to discuss school feedback and develop your skills
Essential Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
- NJ Substitute Credential
- Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
- Background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost)
- Full COVID-19 vaccination
- A passion for education and putting students first
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous teaching or substitute teaching experience
- Special education or subject-specific expertise (e.g., Math, Science, English)
- Experience working with diverse student populations
