About the Role
We're seeking a skilled and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. As a key member of our Finance team, you'll be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including financial statement preparation, budgeting, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and month-end and year-end closing. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements and related reports, comparing budget versus actual performance.
- Assist the CFO in forecasting, monthly outlooks, and other forward-looking reports.
- Reconcile monthly cash, credit card, and sales ledgers.
- Perform daily accounting tasks, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), asset management, and other duties as required.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
- Analyze and resolve financial discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Essential Qualifications and Competencies
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA is a plus).
- A minimum of 2 years of accounting experience; familiarity with e-commerce business and sales tax compliance is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and successful completion of a background check.
