Key Responsibilities
As a remote data entry specialist at arenaflex, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Gathering, organizing, and preparing source documents for data entry into our system database
- Reviewing data for discrepancies, missing pages, or information, and resolving discrepancies using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
- Entering both alphabetic and numeric data from source documents into the proper system database with high accuracy
- Reviewing data entered against the original source documents for accuracy and correcting any data entry errors or duplications
- Following data program security practices and procedures at all times to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of our data
- Routinely securing information by completing database backups daily
- Performing other varied clerical duties such as sorting, filing, emailing, and proofreading as required
- Maintaining confidentiality of all personal and financial information at all times and in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned by the team leader or management
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- A minimum of 6 months related experience in data entry or a similar field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Experience in a medical office is preferred but not required
- Must be tech-savvy and detail-oriented, with excellent typing skills and accuracy
- Must possess complete knowledge of general computer, fax, copier, scanner, and telephone operations
- Must be knowledgeable of multiple software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and the Internet
- Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 40 words per minute (W.P.M.)
