Job Overview
In this part-time remote position, you will be an integral part of our fulfillment team, responsible for ensuring that customer orders are accurately processed, packed, and shipped in a timely manner. Your duties will include receiving and putting away inventory, getting customer orders ready, packing them up, and loading boxes into trucks for shipment. You will utilize scanners to read bar codes on products, follow prompts on screens, and troubleshoot problems to ensure that products meet our quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and put away inventory in an efficient and organized manner
- Get customer orders ready and pack them up accurately, ensuring that all items are included and properly secured
- Load boxes into trucks for shipment, following all safety protocols and procedures
- Use scanners to read bar codes on products, ensuring accurate tracking and inventory management
- View prompts on screens and follow directions for tasks, such as picking, packing, and shipping orders
- Troubleshoot problems and escalate issues to supervisors or other teams as needed
- Ensure that products meet our quality requirements, conducting inspections and reporting any defects or issues
- Operate power industrial trucks (PIT) such as forklifts or pallet drivers, and work at heights up to 35 feet, following all safety guidelines and protocols
Physical Demands
This role requires a combination of physical and technical skills, including:
- Lifting up to 49 pounds, pushing utility carts up to 60 pounds, and standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, and reaching during shifts
- Using carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around the warehouse
- Going up and down stairs (where applicable) and working at a height of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable)
- Adhering to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards, including wearing protective gear and following all safety protocols
