About the Role
This part-time remote data entry job is an exciting opportunity to join our A319/A320/A321 Fleet Engineering Team within the Technical Operations Division. As a key member of this team, you'll play a vital role in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues on transport category aircraft. Key Responsibilities
- Keep informed of day-to-day airline operations involving your field of responsibility, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and challenges.
- Assess daily priorities in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives, ensuring that you're focused on the tasks that matter most.
- Investigate aircraft/component problems that may cause aircraft delays or cancellations, substantial expenditures in manpower or materials, or interruptions in maintenance operations, and determine the appropriate corrective actions.
- Provide Engineering support as required for the disposition of discrepant conditions affecting aircraft or components, helping to restore serviceable status and get our planes back in the air.
- Respond to requests from Maintenance and other airline departments when technical assistance is required to support projects or resolve problems, collaborating with colleagues to find solutions.
- Develop action plans for fleet/multi-fleet and/or component engineering projects, pursuing final dispositions according to assessed priorities and ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with other airline departments, as required, to provide for the effective and efficient implementation of engineering dispositions, working together to achieve our goals.
- Prepare Engineering documents to implement technical dispositions, providing customized procedures for repairs, modifications, inspections, or other maintenance actions that provide benefits in accordance with airline/departmental objectives and management directives.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have a strong foundation in aviation engineering, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills. You should be a team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and is able to prioritize tasks effectively. A degree in a relevant field, such as aerospace engineering or a related discipline, is preferred, and you should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role.
