Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Remote Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a Member Service Representative, you will provide telephone assistance to Aetna Medicaid members and providers, addressing a wide range of inquiries, including eligibility, provider changes, and requests for ID cards. Key Responsibilities
- Answering inbound member and provider calls, responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs.
- Providing accurate and timely information, resolving issues efficiently, and escalating complex cases to senior representatives or other departments as needed.
- Utilizing high-speed internet connectivity via an ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not permitted) and company-provided equipment to perform job duties.
- Participating in a comprehensive training program (first 6 weeks: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday) to develop a deep understanding of our products, services, and policies.
- Working from home, demonstrating self-sufficiency, and maintaining a distraction-free workspace that meets company requirements.
- Adhering to performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals, ensuring that every interaction meets our high standards for customer satisfaction.
Essential Qualifications
- Must live within 50 miles of Charleston, WV, and be able to commute to the office when unable to work from home due to prolonged technical problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers, both orally and in written form, and meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a healthcare or call center setting, is highly desirable.
- Must be able to work from home, prove self-sufficiency, and maintain a secure and reliable internet connection.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working remotely in a call center setting, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
- Familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare, as well as experience working with healthcare-related products and services.
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in using computer software, navigating multiple systems, and troubleshooting common technical issues.
