Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Radiologic Technology Instructor to join our team at Southeastern College in Miami Lakes, FL. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Course Lectures and Facilitate Student Engagement: Develop and deliver engaging course lectures, facilitate student discussions, and promote active learning in the classroom.
- Assess Student Progress and Provide Developmental Feedback: Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and support students in achieving their academic goals.
- Prepare Course Plans and Materials: Develop and maintain course plans, syllabi, and instructional materials that meet the needs of our students.
- Coordinate with Librarian and Bookstore: Collaborate with the librarian and bookstore to ensure the availability of required materials and resources.
- Monitor Student Progress and Attendance: Monitor student attendance, follow up with students who miss classes, and report attendance issues to the Dean.
- Record Grades and Submit Reports: Maintain accurate records of student grades, adhere to departmental grading policies, and submit reports to the Dean.
- Participate in Campus Events and Activities: Participate in graduation ceremonies, convocation, and other campus events that promote academic excellence and community engagement.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications:
- Associate's Degree: A minimum of an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- ARRT Certification: Current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Four Years of Experience: A minimum of four years of experience in the field of Radiologic Technology.
- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
- Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Experience in Academic Teaching: Experience in academic teaching, particularly in a career college environment.
- Program/Department Chair Experience: Experience as a program or department chair in a career college environment.
- Professional/Executive Education Experience: Experience in professional or executive education, particularly in administration.
