Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician and Data Entry Specialist to join our team at blithequark. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, interacting with customers, and developing strong patient relationships. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, under direct supervision, in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Use pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, ensuring data is entered accurately and efficiently
- Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication is accurate, and checking for possible interactions
- Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow
- Develop strong relationships with customers and patients, providing a unique and delightful customer experience
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a unique and delightful customer experience
- Perform duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager, including utilizing pharmacy systems, ensuring information is entered efficiently, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
Essential Qualifications
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
- Preferred: six months of experience in a retail environment
- Preferred: previous work experience with blithequark
- Preferred: desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
- Preferred: basic computer skills and knowledge of store inventory control
- Preferred: PTCB certification
