About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Warehouse Worker to join our Operations Team. As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate preparation of orders for delivery. This involves pulling orders based on pick tickets, managing the physical handling of products, materials, and equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area. Your attention to detail, ability to work independently, and commitment to safety will be invaluable assets in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pull orders based on pick tickets to accurately build orders for loading onto delivery trucks, ensuring that all products are handled with care and attention to detail.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area and production equipment, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
- Monitor all incoming and outgoing products for accountability and accuracy, reporting any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Restock and replenish products as appropriate, ensuring that inventory levels are accurately managed and maintained.
- Operate industrial power equipment safely and efficiently, following all training and guidelines provided.
- Stage completed pallets in designated areas, ready for loading onto delivery trucks.
- Transport raw materials, full goods, and/or finished goods to designated areas within the warehouse, using appropriate equipment and safety measures.
- Load and unload designated trailers and/or route trucks, ensuring that all products are securely and safely loaded.
- Build orders according to assigned load tickets using industrial power equipment, meeting productivity requirements and quality standards.
- Manually lift and move products to restock and repack, ensuring date code accuracy and proper rotation, and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety standards, contributing to a culture of safety and quality within the warehouse.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and processes, ensuring compliance and integrity in all aspects of the role.
Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or GED preferred, although equivalent experience may be considered.
- 0 - 1 year of general work experience, with prior warehouse, production, or equipment service experience being highly desirable.
- Forklift certification is a plus, although training can be provided for the right candidate.
- The ability to operate a manual/powered pallet jack or lift product safely and efficiently.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and the ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train new employees and troubleshoot problems associated with warehouse and production issues.
- Adaptability and the ability to adapt to change in the workplace, with a positive and flexible attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a warehouse or production environment, with knowledge of safety procedures and quality control measures.
- Experience with industrial power equipment and the ability to operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
