Job Description
As a Data Entry Specialist, you will be tasked with entering data into our database system in an accurate and timely manner. You will be responsible for maintaining data integrity, ensuring that the information is readily accessible when needed, and reviewing and verifying data for completeness and accuracy. Your attention to detail, strong typing speed, and knowledge of data confidentiality principles will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter and update customer information in the database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Review data for deficiencies or errors and correct inaccuracies, maintaining data integrity and security.
- Verify and sort information to prepare source data for computer entry, and interpret complex information to relay it to other staff members and customers.
- Assist with reports and data extraction when needed, and provide exceptional support to our customers.
- Comply with data integrity and security policies, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements:
- Proven data entry work experience, with a strong typing speed and an eye for detail.
- Knowledge of data confidentiality principles is compulsory, and proficiency in relevant software applications such as MS Office is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, and ability to work with database systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent, and further education or certification in office management is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.
Skills and Competencies:
- Attention to detail and strong typing speed.
- Knowledge of data confidentiality principles and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MS Office and advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to work with database systems and interpret complex information.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
