As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality transcription services, including:
- Transcribing dictated material, producing an average of at least 138 lines per hour, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Meeting production standards and maintaining an error rate of 3% or less, ensuring the integrity of patient records
- Editing reports in the system, utilizing advanced technology to streamline workflows and improve efficiency
- Queuing and transcribing all requests for STAT transcription as needed, prioritizing urgent cases and ensuring timely completion
- Charting transcribed reports once a shift, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Logging, printing, and maintaining reports, adhering to strict confidentiality and security protocols
- Following through with assignments and informing supervisors if unable to complete tasks, demonstrating accountability and teamwork
- Maintaining the strictest confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and regulations
- Performing other duties as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Essential Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- One to three years of experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a transcription role, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures
- Prior transcription experience, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, utilizing advanced technology and software applications
