Job Responsibilities
As a Math Tutor with Mathnasium of Murfreesboro, your primary responsibility will be to teach and tutor students in math using the Mathnasium Method and our proprietary curriculum. Your duties will include:
- Teaching and tutoring students in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method and terminology
- Working collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
- Assessing students' learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
- Becoming proficient with digital educational materials and processes
- Supporting the maintenance of a safe and professional learning environment
Hours and Compensation
We are looking for individuals who can commit to working at least 3 shifts of 3 hours each during the following hours:
- Monday-Thursday: 3:00-7:30 PM
- Friday: 3:00-6:30 PM
Our starting compensation rates are competitive and based on your level of education:
- Current High School: $13.00 per hour
- Current College: $15.00 per hour
- Current Graduate: $15.00+ per hour
Qualifications
To be successful as a Math Tutor with Mathnasium of Murfreesboro, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A passion for math and working with students
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with students and team members
- Eagerness to learn and be trained on the Mathnasium Method and our proprietary curriculum
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
- Ability to balance various ongoing tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
