Key Responsibilities
- Establish and monitor priorities and goals for the implementation of accounting processes related to new operational projects, ensuring timely and accurate project and task completion.
- Communicate departmental progress on new initiatives and emerging issues to the director on a regular basis, providing updates and insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Lead meetings to direct teams for task completion related to accounting aspects of new initiatives, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Participate in meetings with Commercial, Hotel Operations, Onboard Revenue, and Information Technology teams to ensure revenue systems are updated to properly record revenues, driving business growth and optimization.
- Coordinate end-to-end testing and develop test plans and scenarios for system changes, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Ensure processes are implemented to record revenues and expenses in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policy, maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance.
- Drive the development of workflow and system enhancements, designing management reporting that incorporates appropriate controls and ensures accurate and timely financial output.
- Provide training and support to relevant teams, promoting the Core Values and communicating timely to management, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in revenue accounting and financial management.
- Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience evaluating and improving financial processes, with a focus on automation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of computerized accounting systems, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and drive business insights.
