Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician with Starbucks, you'll be responsible for ensuring that plant equipment is properly maintained and repaired in a timely manner. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the maintenance team and supporting all aspects of the maintenance department as needed, including general structure and grounds maintenance
- Helping with the installation of new equipment and ensuring that it's properly integrated into existing systems
- Completing tasks thoroughly and accurately to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Completing plant work orders, part inventories, and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure that equipment is running at optimal levels
- Performing routine repairs and long-term enhancements to ensure that plant equipment is operating efficiently and effectively
- Performing various tasks on a case-by-case basis to support business objectives and Starbucks' Mission and Values
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have the following essential qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED, US military service, or equivalent)
- Ability to communicate technical and operational issues clearly and concisely
- 2+ years of experience repairing and maintaining fast packaging equipment
- Knowledge of sanitation regulatory requirements and global standards, including AIB, BRC, or SQF
- 5+ years of experience in an automated manufacturing or distribution environment
- 5+ years of experience with general industrial maintenance and electrical systems
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly preferred:
- Additional certifications or training in maintenance or a related field
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
