Key Responsibilities
- Modeling and Machine Learning: Design, build, and improve machine learning models that drive business outcomes. Collaborate with engineering teams to productionize models and drive experimentation to test the impact of model-based optimization.
- Deep Analysis and Insights: Develop a comprehensive understanding of subscriber and payment data structures and metrics. Mine large datasets to identify opportunities for driving growth and retention of subscribers.
- Visualization and Communication: Develop prototype solutions, mathematical models, algorithms, and robust analytics that lead to actionable insights. Communicate complex data insights clearly and visually to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Partnership and Collaboration: Partner closely with business stakeholders to identify and unlock opportunities. Collaborate with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, data visualization, experimentation, and data architecture.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Advanced Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a comparable field of study.
- Experience: 7+ years of experience designing, building, and evaluating practical machine learning solutions.
- Coding Skills: Strong coding experience in one or more data programming languages like Python/R, with additional experience with scientific libraries like NumPy, Pandas, or equivalent libraries.
- Statistical Modeling: Strong background in statistical modeling, including regression, time series analysis, and other techniques.
- Databases and Data Tools: 7+ years of experience with databases and data pulling tools (SQL, Vertica, Hive).
- Problem-Solving: Willingness to adapt in a fast-paced and quickly growing work environment, with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex problems.
Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced Degree: Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline.
- Python Expertise: Strong expertise with Python and libraries such as scikit-learn, scipy.
