Job Overview

As an Atlas Air Worldwide First Officer, you will have full responsibility for assisting the Captain in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight. You will be proficient in the duties and responsibilities required of a Second-in-Command (SIC) and advise the Captain of any abnormality during ground and flight operations. You will be current and have operational knowledge of the Flight Operations Manual, Flight Crew Operating Manual, Jeppesen Airway Manual, and pertinent regulations. Your constant awareness of all flight parameters, including on-time performance and the effect on customer flight schedules and customer service, will be crucial to our success.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements for Candidates

To be considered for this role, you must hold a current restricted or unrestricted FAA ATP certificate with an airplane category multi-engine class rating and English proficiency endorsement. You must also have a current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate, hold an FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit, and have a current and valid passport with no restrictions on international travel. Additionally, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and possess proper working documents.

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, proven leadership ability, and accurate and timely decision-making skills. You must also be able to work varying schedules, including reserve duty, weekends, evenings, and holidays. A thorough working knowledge of all Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to FAR Part 121 Operations is also required.
