Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Customer Service Representative to join our State Disbursement Unit (SDU) team in a full-time, remote work capacity. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for responding to customer service calls and correspondence according to Standard Operating Procedures and contact requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Respond to customer service calls from child support customers and other stakeholders, following Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements
- Process correspondence in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements
- Document correspondence and contacts according to Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements
- Complete blithequark system and State system updates in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contract requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service, handling upset callers and adapting to different types of characters
- Maintain accurate and interrelated records, identifying and resolving errors
- Work independently with little direction, meeting schedules and timelines
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using tact, patience, and courtesy
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Knowledge and Abilities:
- Knowledge of customer service techniques, including handling upset callers
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
- Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment

- Interpret, apply, analyze, and explain laws, procedures, and regulations pertaining to SDU payment processing procedures and programs
- Maintain accurate and interrelated records

Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of prior experience in an area of service delivery, customer service, call center technology, or other related field is required. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and work experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the work is also acceptable.
Language and Computer Skills:
- Must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Must be proficient in data entry skills, including keyboard, mouse, and 10-key pad
- Experience and knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Windows products
