About the Role
As a DevOps Engineer in our Digital Platform and Automation group, you'll be at the forefront of driving innovation and excellence in our technology landscape. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of our members. Your expertise will help us streamline complex processes, improve efficiency, and deliver high-quality products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Creates and manages Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure seamless infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Maintains, extends, and builds automated CI and CD pipelines to facilitate efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Develops pipelines to periodically generate code quality metrics, ensuring high standards of code quality and maintainability.
- Drives team self-sufficiency by providing tools, training, and guidance, and fosters collaboration across teams to achieve common goals.
- Establishes workflows that leverage automated pipelines for CI and CD, ensuring smooth and efficient software development and deployment.
- Works closely with product and application teams to create version control branching strategies, ensuring effective collaboration and version management.
- Develops system integrations that enable end-to-end traceability for software development, from requirements to code changes.
- Designs, develops, and automates provisioning of complex environments, including IAAS and PAAS services in Azure.
- Builds deployment automation with infrastructure and configuration as code to host services in Azure, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment.
- Develops modern automated solutions to migrate legacy/hybrid systems and provision systems in Azure, driving digital transformation.
- Demonstrates technical expertise by presenting technical sessions to clients and project teams, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Adopts engineering best practices to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet business objectives.
- Develops and documents requirements and best practices, and mentors junior engineers to ensure knowledge sharing and growth.
- Resolves complex problems in innovative and effective ways, tailored to each customer's needs, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Provisions applications in virtualized or container-based systems on Linux/Windows systems, ensuring efficient and reliable application deployment.
- Integrates systems, including SQL, Messaging tools, and Application code with operating systems and infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration.
- Interprets complex problems and communicates them effectively to others, ensuring clear understanding and collaboration.
- Stays abreast of current and emerging DevOps technologies and tools, ensuring our technology landscape remains cutting-edge.
- Collaborates with Operations, Development, and QA functions to develop solutions and systems that are predisposed to scalability, security, and simplified maintenance.
Essential Qualifications
- 7+ years of IT experience, with a strong background in DevOps, automation, and cloud computing.
- 3+ years of experience with Automation and Orchestration tooling/technology (Puppet, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- 3+ years of Azure development experience, building, deploying, and provisioning services.
- Experience in OOP (C#, Java) Azure DevOps, and git-based development/shipping workflows.
- Strong scripting skills (Powershell, Bash, Python, etc.).
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable software delivery.
- Experience working with SAML and OAUTH security protocols, ensuring secure authentication and authorization.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL (Cosmos, Mongo) databases, ensuring efficient data management.
- Knowledge of SOLID, Service-Oriented Architecture, and Microservices, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Must be highly responsive, able to work under stress in crisis situations with a strong sense of urgency.
- Responsible, conscientious, organized, self-motivated, and able to work with limited supervision.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively investigate potential future issues.
- Able to assist with off-hours work as required, including weekends, holidays, and 24/7 support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure Certification, demonstrating expertise in Azure technologies.
- Hands-on experience with API Gateway, Apigee Edge, APIM, or other similar technologies, ensuring API management and security.
- Experience with WAFs, CDNs, such as Akamai, Fastly, and Azure Front Door, ensuring web application security and performance.
- Experience with Caching technologies like Redis, ensuring efficient data caching and retrieval.
- Experience with ContentStack or other content/configuration management systems, ensuring efficient content management.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, etc., ensuring effective monitoring and logging.
- Knowledge of Information Security best practices and principles (certificates, encryption, etc.), ensuring secure data management.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages to our employees. The pay range for this role is:
- Level 3: $135,000 - $175,000.
- Level 4: $165,000 - $205,000, with bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligibility.
