The Data Science Manager will be responsible for managing the everyday functional activities that create and execute strategic designs for determined regions. Key Responsibilities
- Develops, creates, and carries out techniques, cycles, and frameworks to unite and break down assorted informational indexes, including organized and unstructured data.
- Manages team(s) assigned to projects and may oversee executions, ensuring assets are precisely allocated in accordance with strategic plans and properly represented.
- Oversees issues proactively, including convenient goal and the identification of remediation valuable opportunities.
- Creates programming programs, algorithms, dashboards, data tools, and queries to clean, model, integrate, and assess datasets.
- Stays informed about new scientific techniques and innovations, applying them to drive business growth and solutions.
- Collaborates with functional specialty units to drive business arrangements and direction.
- Establishes credibility with partners while managing assumptions, ensuring regular, consistent, and effective communications with colleagues and partners.
- May foster a budget for the practical region, overseeing the budget to design and delivering against business objectives/goals.
- Keeps up to date with industry-leading best practices, carrying them to the attention of the leadership group for creative application.
- Allocates available resources to meet working targets, creating and mentoring staff through on-boarding, open communication, training, and development opportunities, and performance management processes.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline.
- Experience with analysis and statistical software like SQL, R, Python, Excel, Hadoop, SAS, SPSS, and/or others to perform analysis and interpret data.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and open-source data science and statistics packages like Python, R, Spark, etc.
- Experience establishing and maintaining key relationships with internal (peers, colleagues, and leadership) and external (business community, clients, and vendors) partners to foster strategies that meet office objectives within budget and timelines.
- At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
- At least 2 years of direct management, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline.
- Experience communicating at the executive level.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams.
