Key Responsibilities
As an American Express Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, quality, and efficiency of data processing and analysis. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating closely with utility teams to outline, define, and capture business needs, leveraging Voice of the Customer methods to inform data-driven decision-making.
- Designing and building robust data model architecture to facilitate efficient data processing and standardized metric definitions.
- Developing and implementing big data and batch/real-time analytical solutions using transformational technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, MapReduce, Hive, Spark, and Python.
- Providing guidance to enhance competencies and drive efficiency in computing programs using the massive data ecosystem.
- Powering consumer tale analysis and elaboration, designing and developing software programs, testing, and building automation tools.
- Proactively identifying and automating manual tasks to improve quality and efficiency.
- Working closely with partners from GSN and AET to prioritize, define, develop, and test data for various use cases as part of the VOC end-to-end process.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with Hive/Hadoop, PySpark, Python, shell scripting languages, development launch management, and troubleshooting for data-driven tasks (minimum 3+ years).
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, where small increments of a product are delivered at regular intervals to business teams.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work effectively with relationship managers/product owners to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
- Data Entry and Analysis: Prior experience in customer service or data entry roles preferred, with excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- Communication and Multitasking: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using computer applications and navigating online systems.
- Flexibility: Flexible availability to work varying shifts as needed.
