Job Overview
The Data Engineering team at blithequark is responsible for partnering with various stakeholders to develop and maintain data pipelines, databases, and data systems. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other relevant technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, develop data validation processes, and create ETL/ELT data pipelines
- Develop and maintain databases, data warehouses, and data systems to support business intelligence and analytics
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing robust data validation, testing, and monitoring processes
- Optimize data systems for better performance, scalability, and reliability
- Work with large datasets and big data technologies, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar cloud-based platforms
- Develop and maintain automated workflows, schedulers, and data processing scripts using Python, Docker, and other relevant tools
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and maintenance
- Proven expertise in using Python and SQL (preferably with Snowflake)
- Experience with developing in a multi-environment (Dev, QA, Prod, etc.) and DEVOP practices for code management/development
- Experience with creating and maintaining automated work schedulers
- Solid understanding of relational database design and functionality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies, preferably cloud-based, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Proficiency in cloud architecture and product offerings, preferably AWS
- Experience managing and deploying code using a source control system like GitLab/GitHub
