Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at arenaflex. As a member of our Payments and Digital Strategy crew, you will be responsible for handling everyday tasks related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and budget transfers. This is a remote job opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while still being part of a collaborative and supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete data access and balancing tasks
- Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions
- Assist other departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing
- Work member cases/sports assigned
- Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines and Federal Banking laws
- Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks
- Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products
- Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes and/or returns
- Process Stop Pays and Check Batching
- Complete daily balancing and department closing
- Obtain information from contributors for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic budget transfer requests
- Research and confirm incoming and outgoing budget transfer information
- Communicate with the vendor to process budget transfers
- Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming budget transfer laws
- Deposit check returns, research member back checks on draft changes, process member checks, confirm contributors for outgoing budget transfers, and Federal Reserve verifying and releasing budget transfers
- Complete daily processing of workflows associated with late returns, supply of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High school diploma or GED
- Intermediate Excel and Word experience
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
- Previous customer/member service experience
- Previous banking or Credit Union experience
- Episys/Symitar and processing wires
Skills and Competencies
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Ability to work extended hours in support of business needs
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and function as an integral part of a team
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations and analyze data
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure
- Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department
- Ability to interact professionally with all personnel and contributors
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to self-motivate with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
