Job Overview: Customer Service Representative
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Account Management & Service team on a remote basis. As a "people person" with a passion for helping others, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional service to our individual clients and maintaining strong relationships with our customers. Key Responsibilities
- Work in a call center environment to process endorsement requests for personal lines insurance policies, securing pricing from carriers as needed
- Manage account documentation, sending documents to insureds and following up to ensure receipt and submission to the carrier
- Maintain a follow-up system with insurance carriers to ensure timely processing of requests
- Furnish underwriters with additional information as requested and issue certificates of insurance and evidence of property forms to clients and their representatives
- Process lost policy release forms and transmit correspondence to insureds and carriers
- Perform other specific duties and projects as assigned by management, including managing the agency interface system and ensuring accurate revenue recording
- Provide sales support by rating policies and entering policy information into our database
- Pursue ongoing personal and professional development to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 1-2 years of insurance experience, preferably in a customer-facing role
- A Property & Casualty License (required)
- Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- The ability to understand and analyze insurance coverage, forms, and policies
- Proficiency in MS Office and a willingness to learn our agency interface system
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus:
- Additional insurance licenses or certifications (e.g., Life or Health)
- Experience working in a call center or customer service environment
- A background in sales or account management
