About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Customer Engineer to join our team, focusing on technical sales and customer success. As a Customer Engineer at blithequark, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of our cloud solutions among our clients, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand client needs, design tailored solutions, and deliver technical support to ensure seamless integration and optimal use of our products. Key Responsibilities
- Determine business and technical requirements, lead comprehensive technical discovery, and design client solutions to meet assembled specifications.
- Lead technical projects, provide technology support, develop bid responses, deliver product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and coordinate the allocation of supporting technical resources.
- Communicate product messaging for the blithequark Cloud Platform using whiteboard and slide presentations, product demos, white papers, trial management, and Request for Information (RFI) response documents.
- Drive recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application frameworks to implement a comprehensive solution, offering best practice advice to clients to enhance blithequark Cloud Platform effectiveness.
- Attend client sites, conferences, and other events as necessary.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role.
- Experience with legacy and modern application development, cloud service delivery, and networking.
- Familiarity with containers, including Kubernetes and other related technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Active US Government Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Full Scope Polygraph clearance status.
- Experience in developing mobile architectures using API management, microservice architectures, PaaS, and container orchestration systems, or other relevant platforms.
- Experience working with Government Public Sector clients, including defense and civilian agencies.
- Knowledge of application security architectures, including web application security, service mesh, and mobile security techniques.
- Ability to learn, understand, and work with emerging technologies, philosophies, and solutions in the blithequark Cloud/IT technology space.
