Key Responsibilities
- Handle 2-3 inbound customer service and reservation calls per hour, focusing on resolving issues efficiently in one call.
- Accurately process new vacation bookings and make changes to existing reservations in a timely manner.
- Adhere to blithequark's Customer Connection methodology to ensure customers receive a remarkable experience.
- Utilize available resources to handle customer requests independently and accurately.
- Consistently meet or exceed performance goals and maintain productivity standards.
- Navigate multiple browsers and systems, engage in instant messaging, and respond to emails while maintaining a engaging conversation with customers.
- Be available and reachable by telephone, email, and instant message during work hours.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to build knowledge and stay updated on company initiatives.
Essential Qualifications
To succeed as a Customer Care Representative at blithequark, you must:
- Be available to work a full-time schedule (35-45 hours/week) based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Adhere to a structured schedule, including a 6-week training schedule (Monday-Friday, 10am-7pm EST) and subsequent schedules that may vary between 8am-10pm EST, Sunday-Saturday.
- Demonstrate reliability and consistency in working your assigned schedule.
- Possess excellent customer service skills, with attention to detail and the ability to create a remarkable experience on every call.
- Be tech-savvy, with strong typing skills and proficiency in internet navigation, instant messaging tools, email, and Microsoft Office.
- Have amazing phone presence and be able to communicate effectively through various mediums (verbal, listening, written).
- Be open to receiving coaching feedback and applying learnings to improve performance.
- Be able to concentrate and work in a dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity (minimum speeds of 5.0 Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download).
- Be a resident of a US state (excluding AK, CA, HI, KY, ND, OH, OR, and PA).
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following skills and experience can enhance your application:
- Previous customer service experience, particularly in the travel industry.
- Knowledge of travel industry products and services, such as cruises, villas, and resort vacations.
- Experience working in a remote or call center environment.
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other industry-specific tools.
