About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Children's Development, Gymnastics and Activity Coach to join our team in Katy, TX. As a coach, you'll be responsible for designing and leading engaging fitness programs for kids, while also contributing to the success of our team through sales and promotional efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Design and lead fun, engaging, and safe fitness classes for children aged 6 weeks to 10 years
- Help meet monthly team goals in promotions and sales
- Develop and maintain a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment for children and parents
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Participate in birthday parties and other events to promote our programs and services
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure consistency and quality in our programs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in children's fitness and development
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A background in fitness, athletics, sports, dance, cheer, gymnastics, martial arts, or a related field
- Experience working with children in a recreational or educational setting
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- High energy and a positive, enthusiastic attitude
- Effective leadership and motivational skills
- Adept sales skills and a willingness to contribute to sales and promotional efforts
- A clean background check
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Previous experience in a coaching or teaching role
- Certifications in children's fitness, gymnastics, or a related field (e.g., ACE, NASM, or USA Gymnastics)
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- First aid and CPR certification
