Job Overview
The Billing Data Entry Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting both internal and external customers by ensuring timely resolution of benefits questions, maintaining accurate data entry, and providing essential reporting to help achieve arenaflex's revenue goals. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that offers a competitive hourly rate of $19.00 - $21.00 and a flexible schedule with remote work options.
Key Responsibilities
- Encounter Management: Complete all necessary encounters for various practices, ensuring accurate data entry in the appropriate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Optometrist Referral Processing: Manage the referral process for optometrists by entering referrals from the EHR into Salesforce and performing benefits verification prior to sending information to the Enrollment Manager.
- Out-of-Pocket (OOP) Cost Ticket Requests: Address tickets related to OOP costs as generated by the Customer Care (CC) team.
- Eligibility Queries: Respond to eligibility-related questions from the Enrollment Team as needed, utilizing EHR data.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative, data entry, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite, with experience in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Typing speed of 30-40 words per minute.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR), preferably NexTech or Athena.
- Experience with clinical data entry (preferred).
- Familiarity with Salesforce (preferred).
- Knowledge of full cycle billing or coding processes (preferred).
