Job Overview
This is a 100% remote position, offering you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home and create a schedule that suits your needs. As a Teaching Assistant (Instructional Support), you will be responsible for providing instructional support to students, teachers, and other staff members. Key Responsibilities
- Provide instructional support to students, including assisting with lesson plans, preparing materials, and facilitating small group activities
- Assist teachers with classroom management, record-keeping, and data collection
- Support students with special needs, including those with disabilities, English language learners, and gifted students
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs)
- Assist with standardized testing, progress monitoring, and other assessments

Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Paraprofessional License
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience working with students, preferably in an educational setting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- Bachelor's degree in education, special education, or a related field
- Experience working with students with special needs, including those with disabilities and English language learners
- Knowledge of curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment methods
- Experience with technology integration, including educational software and hardware
