As an Account Executive at Smartsheet, you'll have the opportunity to work remotely and be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to acquiring new logos and driving revenue growth. You'll be responsible for selling our full suite of products and services to Small Business organizations (50-200 employee size) and developing new business opportunities through qualifying inbound leads and progressing them through the full sales cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acquire new logos for Smartsheet by selling our full suite of products and services to Small Business organizations
- Develop and win new business opportunities by qualifying inbound leads with urgency and progressing them through the full sales cycle
- Prioritize assigned trial leads and tailor outreach to consistently book meetings and generate pipeline
- Conduct discovery calls to identify Prospective Customers' needs and align solution recommendations with customer initiatives
- Conduct product demonstrations and partner with internal teams, including Sales Engineers, to support the sales cycle
- Proactively work with internal and external stakeholders to successfully navigate the full sales cycle with urgency
- Manage transactional and strategic deals to consistently exceed quota
- Create and maintain Joint Engagement Plans for strategic solution deals
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Salesforce leveraging MEDDICC qualification guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you'll need to have a strong background in sales, preferably in the SaaS industry. Here are some of the essential qualifications we're looking for:
- 3+ years of full sales cycle management experience with a history of performance and exceeding quota attainment
- Experience building and maintaining customer relationships in a B2B environment
- Experience with Solution/Consultative Selling and prospecting new client relationships to maximize revenue growth
- Strong knowledge of LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Salesforce, Docusign, Outreach, and Tableau
- Natural curiosity to understand the business, implicating pain, and return on investment
- Experience prioritizing and qualifying deals and ability to continuously improve and adopt best practices
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following qualifications can give you a competitive edge:
- Experience working in the SaaS industry, preferably with a product similar to Smartsheet
- Strong understanding of the Small Business market and the challenges they face
- Experience working with Sales Engineers and other internal teams to support the sales cycle
- Proven track record of success in sales, with a strong history of exceeding quota attainment

- Competitive salary: We're offering a salary range of $65,000 to $81,000, depending on your location and experience
- Bonus opportunities: You'll be eligible for a market competitive bonus
