Pioneer Power Group, a trusted leader in power system studies, is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Electrical Engineer to join our talented team.

This is a remote position based in the United States. If you are near our Pittsburgh, PA office, it will be a hybrid schedule in office at least 2 workdays a week.
Key things to note:
• Work on projects across a range of industries, including large commercial, data centers, hospitality, healthcare, and both new construction and existing facility upgrades.
• Work in a fast-paced delivery environment where most projects (90%+) are completed within two weeks of receiving all required data, while larger, more complex studies may take longer.
Specific Responsibilities will include:
• Perform engineering studies for electrical distribution systems. This includes short-circuit studies, coordination studies, arc flash hazard analyses, load flow analyses and motor starting studies.
• Evaluate protective device ratings, develop time-current coordination plots to optimize overcurrent settings for circuit breakers and/or relays, and calculate incident energy levels at equipment locations.
• Provide recommendations to improve system reliability and/or help end users work more safely.
• Review specifications, customer drawings, and technical proposals.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding project status, results, and future needs.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to help scale and improve the delivery of our solutions.
• Responsible for performing technical work, managing projects, and other related tasks as directed by the Company’s CEO or his designee.
• Contribute individually and as part of a team to nationwide power system study projects.
Targeted candidate will have:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role.
• Experience or academic exposure to power system studies (load flow, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash).
• Proficiency with any of the following software: SKM/ETAP/EasyPower
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
