The Database Access Platform team designs and operates a scalable query gateway that enables microservices to efficiently store, consume, and manage data. This team is passionate about distributed data system technology and is actively involved in the open-source community.

Responsibilities:
As a Distributed Systems Engineer in our Data Platform team, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing and building scalable, reliable, and highly available distributed systems
- Working with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes
- Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and TPMs to identify and prioritize project requirements
- Contributing to open-source communities and Netflix OSS
- Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
- Driving innovation in data platform infrastructure and architecture
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems or applications
- Expertise in designing and developing RESTful web services
- Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
- Proficiency in Java or other object-oriented programming languages
- Strong understanding of multi-threading and concurrent programming
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
