Key Responsibilities
- Receive inbound calls from members and providers, responding to inquiries regarding claims status, eligibility, and benefit information.
- Utilize proficient computer skills to navigate our systems and provide accurate information to callers.
- Take ownership of calls, empathizing with customers and controlling the conversation to resolve issues efficiently.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changes quickly and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Participate in training on the Avaya system to ensure seamless integration into our call center operations.
- Be available to work any shift between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, with a required shift of 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM.
- Occasionally visit our Pittsburgh or Camp Hill, PA locations for training, system or equipment issues, or other business needs (1-2 times per quarter).
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 1-3 years of experience in a customer service or call center environment, preferably in the health insurance industry.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Excellent soft skills, including empathy, professionalism, and the ability to control conversations.
- The ability to work in a high-energy environment, adapting to changes quickly and efficiently.
