Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals in alignment with planned menus and recipes.
• Maintain the quality, taste, and presentation of food according to standards.
• Follow food safety and sanitation practices; keep the kitchen clean and organized.
• Help with inventory management and supply orders.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in cooking or food preparation is an advantage.
• Ability to follow recipes and adhere to dietary restrictions.
• Communicate effectively and maintain a positive attitude with colleagues, administration, and leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for prolonged periods.
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks continuously.
• Comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
• May need to complete a sanitation and safety course.
• Possession of a current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by law.
• Residence within the service area is necessary.
