Position Overview
The Billing Data Entry Specialist is a pivotal member of our Support Services team. You will ensure that billing‑related data is entered accurately, benefits questions are resolved promptly, and essential reports are generated to help meet careerzynith’s revenue goals. This role reports directly to the Director of Support Services and works closely with the Enrollment, Customer Care, and Clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Encounter Management: Complete all required encounters for multiple practices, entering precise data into the appropriate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Optometrist Referral Processing: Capture referrals from the EHR and input them into Salesforce; verify patient benefits before forwarding referrals to the Enrollment Manager.
- Out‑of‑Pocket (OOP) Cost Ticket Resolution: Address tickets generated by the Customer Care team, providing clear, accurate information on patient cost responsibilities.
- Eligibility Queries: Respond to eligibility questions from the Enrollment Team, leveraging EHR data to confirm coverage status.
- Reporting & Data Quality: Generate routine reports on billing accuracy, turnaround times, and data integrity; flag discrepancies for corrective action.
- Collaboration: Partner with clinical coaches, billing analysts, and IT support to streamline workflows and improve overall data fidelity.
- Compliance & Confidentiality: Maintain HIPAA‑compliant practices at all times, safeguarding patient information and adhering to privacy regulations.
Essential Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- Minimum of 1 year of administrative, data‑entry, or related experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, especially Excel or Google Sheets.
- Typing speed of 30–40 words per minute with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) – experience with NexTech or Athena is a plus.
- Ability to work independently in a remote, HIPAA‑compliant home office.
- Excellent time‑management skills and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Experience with clinical data entry and full‑cycle billing or coding processes.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive hourly wage ranging from $19.00 to $21.00, commensurate with experience and performance. In addition to base pay, careerzynith provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
