Position Overview
The Benefits and Compliance Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day support and administration for all of BGBx’s benefits programs across the globe in compliance with applicable regulations. This role will be responsible for key administrative duties and support procedures that pertain to U.S., Canadian, and U.K. benefits programs.
Responsibilities
Benefits and Payroll Operations
Administer benefits-related onboarding and offboarding processes for employees globally, including updating HRIS, vendor, and benefits enrollment platforms, reviewing and finalizing benefits elections, and ensuring all employee and compliance-related updates are accurately processed and maintained
Review, reconcile, and process monthly benefits invoices, ensuring any data discrepancies or billing issues are tracked, addressed, and resolved
Ensure accurate payroll updates are being made in accordance with benefits changes, and support the Payroll Team in a final review of the payroll file each pay cycle
Support the process of enhancing or implementing benefits, including gathering relevant benchmarking data, drafting presentations and proposals, and adjusting based on feedback
Provide monthly benefits reporting to Finance in support of financial forecasting
Assist with the review of AI tools and ensure they are providing accurate information to employees and the internal team
Additional assistance and support in the general administration of all benefits, U.S. and global
Benefits Support & Communications
Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits eligibility, coverage, enrollment, and plan provisions
Assist with the administration of leaves of absence, including, but not limited to, assessing benefits eligibility, developing timeline and salary expectations, tracking the progress and completion of required paperwork, providing guidance to employees throughout the process, and other leave duties as assigned
Benefits Compliance
Support the completion of annual compliance tasks; including forms 1094-c and 1095-c, form 5500, non-discrimination testing, summary of material modifications, creditable coverage disclosure, Medicare Part D, P11D generation, and any other compliance tasks that our benefits plans may require
Assess benefits eligibility for contingent workforce and ensure applicable offers and updates are being made
Maintain required employer notices in accordance with U.S. federal, state, and local regulations and maintain accurate benefits documents in accordance with brand guidelines and benefits changes
Assist with the preparation and distribution of required employee notices, disclosures, and benefits communications
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
1 - 2 years of benefits administration, HR, or related experience
Experience supporting employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, leave of absence, and global benefit plans
Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, benefits administration, and vendor enrollment platforms; experience maintaining accurate employee and benefits data across multiple systems
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Understanding of U.S., U.K., and Canada employee benefits programs and applicable regulations
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to review, reconcile, and maintain accurate benefits, payroll, and billing data
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Collaborative working style and ability to partner effectively with HR, Payroll, Finance, vendors, brokers, and employees
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain benefits information clearly and professionally to employees
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using ADP Workforce Now, ADP TeamPay, Sterling Capital Brokers Benefits Self Service, Commonwealth, or similar HRIS, payroll, and benefits administration platforms preferred
Experience supporting employees in a multi-state, global, or high-growth environment
Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000
BGB Group is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
